Seek Ye the Kingdom of God
And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment. Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls? And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit? If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest? Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. If then God so clothe the grass, which is today in the field, and tomorrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith? And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. – Luke 12:22-34
There is no need to worry. Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and everything you need will be given to you. And it also says, it is our Father’s “good pleasure” to give the Kingdom to us. I guess the question is – am I seeking the Kingdom of God or do I seek my own kingdom?
Help me, Lord, to seek Your Kingdom and Yours alone. Forgive me for how much I have failed You by seeking the things of this world that give temporary benefits rather than your Kingdom’s eternal gifts. Create in me a clean heart O God and renew a right spirit in me. Touch my heart in such a way that I will seek only treasure that can be found in Your Kingdom. Please help me, Holy Ghost to have a heart that is pure and holy. This is my plea to You Father…and I ask in the name of Your Precious Son, Jesus. Amen! Amen!
He Led Them, He Will Lead Me
But made his own people to go forth like sheep, and guided them in the wilderness like a flock. And he led them on safely, so that they feared not: but the sea overwhelmed their enemies.– Psalm78:52-53
His Work in Me is Perfect
Because I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God. He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.- Deuteronomy 32:3-4
Shhhh
A prudent man concealeth knowledge: but the heart of fools proclaimeth foolishness.- Proverbs 12:23
Me going out of my way to prove myself to those who don’t matter is not wisdom. It is foolishness.
